Get to Know Lippy

Lippy is a Ghanaian-UK based Afrobeat/Afro-pop/Rap, yet versatile artiste who took keen interest in music at such teen age.


Nurturing his passion for music, he studied music and Sound Engineering at University of Westminster with a Bachelors Degree in Music Technology (2008-2011). And has since been producing and writing songs, a natural skill for himself and other musicians of different genres.


Formerly known as Righteous P; Lippy has been making waves in the afro-pop community since 2012. With a friends-owned studio named, Hotline Music Group; he works as a co-Sound Engineer.


His collaborative songs are listed below:


  • Released ‘She be nice girl’ song which featured top Ghanaian Hiplife artiste, Castro (who has been missing since July 6, 2014) on September 27, 2012.
  • NED (Never Ever Doubt), a solo song released on  December 31, 2013.
  • Featured Skob on Give Am (Sisi Mu den), released on December 22, 2014.
  • ‘ExGirl’ was a collaboration with equally talented musician/producer, K-Hi Bangit released on July 24, 2017.
  • His recent jam is ‘Body Go Lo’ was premiered on YFM’s  The Weekend Rush, hosted by Brown berry on October 28, 2017. The song has as well be used as a background music on Just Promise Blog, a YouTube channel.
Under the management of House of The African Music (HoTA Music); Lippy has released two exposé songs, ‘ExGirl’ and ‘Body Go Lo’. He is currently working on his debut EP, which will be released on March 28, 2018.


Having his songs recognized, he has earned nomination in the UK based New Uncovered Art of the year category of Ghana Music Awards UK 2017.
Aside being a musician, rapper & sound engineer; Lippy is also an actor, who starred in The Bill – UK Police Drama, and Side Winders, a series on SKY T.V. He absolutely loves everything he does and sets his heart to do.
